Check Gordon County Court Calendar

Start with the court named on your citation, notice, summons, or order, because that office sets your hearing. The Gordon County court calendar sorts hearings by court, date, judge, room, and setting type. Superior Court posts several calendar files. Probate and the municipal courts handle their own settings. Remember that a calendar is not the full court docket. Gordon County also warns that posted schedules are preliminary. The safest approach pairs the current calendar with the case docket, then a final call to the clerk responsible for that court. That three-step check protects you from stale or revised files when you need to find a Gordon County court date.

Confirming a Gordon Court Date

Bring the exact case or citation number to any call. State the court and the setting type too. If a clerk confirms that your Gordon County court date has moved, ask where the new entry will appear. Ask whether the attendance instructions changed as well. A party with counsel should contact counsel promptly.

Keep a paper trail. Write down the office you contacted, the date of the call, and the setting details given. Ask whether a new written notice or order has been entered, and how to get a copy. One caution applies. Superior calendar staff do not control dates for Magistrate, Probate, Juvenile, or municipal court matters.

The Gordon County Court Calendar

The public index for selected Superior Court calendars sits on the Gordon Court/Trial Information page. It links criminal non-jury, arraignment, jury, civil non-jury, civil pre-trial jury, and civil jury files. Grand-jury, indictments, no-bills, presentments, and term materials appear too. There is no free-text party or case-number search. Links can change when a schedule is revised.

The county calls its calendar information preliminary, not the official record. Use a posted file to spot a likely setting. The docket and the responsible clerk control whenever the PDF and the case record differ.

Gordon Calendar Index, Not Search

Think of the Court/Trial page as a shelf of dated files. It is not a search box. Pick the case type first. Then open the right PDF. A criminal arraignment file can show sequence, case number, style, filing date, count, and charge. Date, judge, and room may appear as well. A criminal non-jury file may instead group motions, bond issues, probation matters, and failure-to-appear lines. Civil feeds split among non-jury, pre-trial jury, jury, and term calendars.

The manifest view comes from the official Court/Trial Information source.

Its menu-like layout is the reason a reader must choose the right calendar category before hunting for a Gordon County court setting.

How to Find Your Court Date

Begin with the last official paper you received. Preserve the exact court name and number. Gordon criminal case numbers look like 23CR34457 and 24CR35799. For Superior Court, PeachCourt may show settings, orders, or docket entries after account login. The Georgia E-Access directory only routes users to providers; it does not search every court.

  1. Read the citation, summons, order, or docket for the court and last setting.
  2. For Superior Court, check PeachCourt and the matching Court/Trial PDF.
  3. Read the file header for county, date, time, judge, and courtroom.
  4. Match the full case number and style, then check update markings.
  5. Call the responsible clerk if the case is absent or the sources conflict.

Superior settings can be confirmed through the Clerk at 706-629-9533 or the court at 706-629-7763. Magistrate uses 706-629-6818; Probate uses 706-629-7314. City ticket dates belong to the named municipal court. The county offers no daily printed public calendar and no separate calendar-coordinator line.

Gordon Judge and Room Key

The 2026 Superior Court calendar uses four judge initials and courtrooms A through D. SHS is Suzanne H. Smith. RMG is Rosemary M. Greene. SJP is Samir J. Patel. DSS is D. Scott Smith. The Cherokee Judicial Circuit covers both Gordon and Bartow, so the initials alone do not establish the county.

SHS
Judge Suzanne H. Smith.
RMG
Judge Rosemary M. Greene.
SJP
Judge Samir J. Patel.
DSS
Chief Judge D. Scott Smith.

Check the county label and the courtroom letter beside any entry on the Gordon County court calendar. Even a local hearing can sit inside a circuit-wide block, so the label tells you where the docket line truly belongs.

Reading a Gordon Court Setting

A setting is a scheduled court event. It is not a disposition. The header can identify a calendar type, date, time, judge, room, and court. A case line may add sequence, number, style, count, charge, or a motion label. Trust the time printed on the specific file rather than assuming a general start time.

DateThe scheduled day shown on the current file or docket entry.
TimeThe specific call or hearing time, when published.
CourtroomA through D on the Superior grid, or the local court’s stated room.
JudgeA full name or one of Gordon’s four initials.
Setting typeArraignment, non-jury, jury, motion, revocation, call, or specialty event.

The record can also refer back to a prior date. That helps when tracing a reset or a failure-to-appear line.

Do not treat every file as interchangeable. Arraignment is the setting where a person answers charges under court procedure. First appearance is an earlier criminal event. Criminal non-jury calendars may hold motions, bond requests, probation revocations, early terminations, and FTA entries. Civil pre-trial is not civil jury trial. Calendar call manages trial status and next steps, but it is not automatically the trial.

Gordon Public Calendar Is Different

The county also runs a CivicEngage events calendar. It offers start and end dates, search terms, a past-events option, calendar selection, list, week, and month views, print, and iCalendar controls. Those tools find county meetings and public events. They are not a Superior case search. They should not confirm a hearing.

The manifest view comes from the Gordon County public calendar.

The distinction matters: a polished month view can still omit every party, case number, and judicial setting.

Resets, Continuances, and Cancellations

Gordon County publishes no single reset code or standard form for moving a court date. When a case shifts, the change can surface in several places: a fresh docket entry, a revised PDF, or a relabeled calendar line. An old date can hide inside an FTA entry. Some jury PDFs carry an updated mark. Save a copy. A live link can change and leave your printed setting out of date.

A continuance means the court has approved a later date. A request alone proves nothing. Calhoun posts its own proof and approval rules. They apply to listed emergencies there. Those city rules do not govern Superior, Probate, or any other municipal court. Trust the signed order, or call the clerk for that court.

Note: Keep the PDF link and the date you pulled it, then verify the controlling docket entry before you travel.

Gordon Specialty Calendar Labels

The annual grid names Gordon Drug Court and Mental Health Court over and over. It also carries a 2:30 p.m. mental-health label. Treat these as schedule categories. They are not separate public case-number databases. The Superior criminal case underneath stays the main docket to search when access is allowed.

The official calendar does not spell out program eligibility, length, or forms, and it offers no standalone public program docket. Treatment and health details may be restricted too. Make sure the calendar says Gordon rather than Bartow, then confirm through the Superior case and the clerk.

Missed Gordon County Court Setting

If a Gordon County court date may have slipped by, move fast. Read the latest order and the newest docket entry. Then call the clerk for the court named on your paperwork. Give the case number. Ask what the official record shows now. An old PDF will not settle the question. Dismissal never happens just because you missed a date.

Missed setting: A court may enter an FTA notation, bench-warrant action, or another order depending on the case. Only the responsible court can state the current consequence and next required step.

A city citation belongs with the municipal contact. Calhoun's local page warns that an unexcused missed date can bring an FTA fine, license suspension, and a warrant, though that warning speaks only for the city. A Superior case goes to the Superior Clerk or the court itself. If PeachCourt and the PDF clash, the official court response controls.
